New Iowa PBS Documentary Watch Party

FLOYD COUNTY, Iowa — Floyd County Extension is inviting 4-H members, families, alumni and community supporters to a special 4-H Watch Party featuring The Legacy of 4-H, a new documentary from Iowa PBS exploring the history and lasting impact of 4-H.

The documentary highlights the life and legacy of Jessie Field Shambaugh, an early leader whose vision helped shape the 4-H movement and its emphasis on learning by doing, leadership and service.

Guests will have the opportunity to discover how 4-H began right here in Iowa and learn about the people and ideas that helped establish a youth development movement that continues to impact generations of young people.

The watch party will be held Monday, October 5, 2026, at the Floyd County Extension Office. Three screening times will be offered:

· 10:00 a.m.

· 2:00 p.m.

· 6:00 p.m.

All 4-H members, families, alumni and community supporters are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Seating Is Limited — RSVP Required
